A Community of Voices began in 1996 as an anthology published in tribute to Bill Downey, a beloved Santa Barbara writing teacher. Winners of the annual CoV writing contest attend the Santa Barbara Writer's Conference each June. There is also a poetry contest toward the SB Summer Poetry Workshop.
